欧文／OWEN欧文中英文书院院长、口语大师、英语教学专家

从一个英语差生到一个中国双语教育推广知名先锐，他被誉为阳朔第一外语奇人，民间“国际交流大使”，在阳朔西街妇孺皆知。“成功英语口语FACES学习法”创始人，现任中国双语教育研究会常务副会长、巴克兰海外志愿者协会秘书长。曾任海南省翻译公司首席翻译。1991年开始在阳朔从事中外文化交流，教中国人强化英语运用能力，向外国人传 授中国传统文化，组织外国人学习中国太极、书法、象棋、中文等。学员多达1500多人，遍及全世界十二个国家和地区。1993年创办了巴克兰外语学校，并创立FACES成功英语教学法，培养了一大批英语实用人才。1997年克林顿访问阳朔时接见了巴克兰的师生，并称巴克兰为中美民间交流作出了很大贡献。1999年出任巴克兰海外教育集团中国总经理至今，致力于中国双语教育的推广和中西文化教育交流的工作。2003年参与创办的“中国外教信息网”为中国学校选聘外籍教师提供了一个很好的平台，迄今已为全国80多所中小学引进并培训了非常优秀的外籍教师。点击进入"走近欧文"视频

Laurie(劳雷) 加拿大教授

来自加拿大。曾任Manitoba市议员。在加拿大Manitoba大学教授商务英语30余年，尤其精通公司财务知识培训。他一派绅士风度，幽默风趣而不乏哲理，具有很高的文化素养。中央电视台“实话实说”、桂林电视台、阳朔电视台等多家媒体曾对他及其夫人BETTS多次进行采访报道。2006年7月6日《人民日报·海外版》、《中国旅游》杂志都曾对Laurie教授的事迹进行了报道，因为Laurie 教授不仅教英语，还热情地义务帮助中国农村希望小学的孩子学英语，还组织志愿者对这些孩子进行智力的和物质的帮助。

Betts(贝慈) 加拿大教授

在加拿大生物学院任教10年，从事课程研究、编写教科书工作，并任经济管理学、旅游学以及人际关系学教授；从事咨询顾问工作18年，给商务和政府部门提供课程培训；从商务课程实践的需要出发，也曾成功地经营了一家零售和商业服务公司。在欧文中英文书院的双语教师培训中担任了很重要的教学和组织工作。她同时兼任中国双语教育研究会高级顾问，为研究会双语教育的推广和探究做出了很多努力。Betts教授教学严谨，教学风格风趣、幽默，工作认真，待人热情，深受国内外学员欢迎和 赞扬。

Peter加拿大教授、经理

目前担任欧文书院商务班及高级口语班的任课老师和班主任,年近50的Peter拥有全部ESL,EFL,TEFL,TESOL国际教师资格证，1974－76年， Fanshawe College，London,Business Administration Diploma; 1989－93年， The University of Western Ontario，London和Canadian Institute of Management Certificate (C.I.M.); 教学经验:-sept1994-1996,College students and adult/mature students in Fanshawe College, Beginner Visual Basic Programming and Advanced Visual Basic Programming. 20多年的商务企业工作经验：1987－2007, Labatt Breweries of Canada / London Ontario - 最近的三个工作头衔陈述：- Business Engagement Manager (18 months)-Senior Project Manager (2 years)- I.T. Brewery Operations Manager (2 years)，自97年后，从事的是几乎全是经理级别以上的工作，具有非常强的实干与理论经验。

Katherine 加拿大教师

目前担任欧文书院商务班及中高级口语班的任课老师和班主任,年近50的Katherine是PETER的妻子，也拥有全部ESL,EFL,TEFL,TESOL国际教师资格证，1973－75年，1973-75 Medical Administrative Assistant Diploma, Fanshawe College - London, Ontario 三年教学经验:1972-74,- Huron Summer Camp / Bayfield, Ontario- Full time councilor to children from ages 8 to 13 for 8 weeks each summer 几十年的企业工作经验：1991 – 2007 Medical Administrative Assistant University Hospital - London, Ontario •In charge of managing a busy orthopedic office • Liaised with patients, physicians, nurses and other health care workers in a professional and confidential manner. • Carried out billing for clinic visits and surgeries • Responsible for typing all clinical notes and correspondence

Michelle

书院教学部总监．书院及学员的英语口语教学工作,外教培训,外语氛围建设等 自2003年加盟欧文书院以来, 语言学教育学专业资深人士，曾在中国多家院校及培训机构任教多年，已有5年以上的英语培训、英语教育和学校管理经验，教学经验丰富、稳定、诚恳、知识面广，敬业投入、认真耐心，被誉为桂林地区教学经验最丰富的英语口语培训外教之一。 负责把各外教带来的不同文化引入教学培训生活全过程中，足不出国，身临其境，众多外籍助教陪练口语,让学员在这小小联合国中尽享异国风情和多元文化交融之体验。Michell热爱中国，热爱中国传统文化，喜欢美丽幽静的阳朔，至今在阳朔居住已4年之久。MICHELL热爱书院生活，生性开朗，业余兴趣广泛，爱好动物、运动, 旅游等，她常喜欢跟学员一起坐在书院庭院前聊天,深受欧文书院学员的欢迎。

Damien

Before coming to China I had traveled through SE Asia , which has been helpful towards appreciating and understanding both Chinese and Asian culture. In Australia I was working as a health care practitioner in private practice

I have studied Health sciences at Victoria University and taught different students on a variety of topics. Since being in Yangshuo I have enjoyed teaching and also the energy and enthusiasm of all the students involved．

Jade

Jade grew up in Canada where she developed a love for the outdoors and nature. At the age of six she discovered the joys of traveling, when her family took a trip to Mexico. Growing up, her love of travel was fed by family backpacking trips around Mexico and Thailand. After graduation, Jade chose to work odd jobs to support her desire to travel. A couple of years later she found herself in Yangshuo, which first attracted her with its natural beauty. She accepted a job with Owen College and plans to stay here for several months, before resuming her wandering ways.

Marie

Marie is from Montreal, Canada and joined Owen College as a volunteer in August 2007. She came to China to work with students who are eager to learn English and also to study Chinese language and culture. Before coming to China, Marie was a Business student at McGill University in Canada. She says that Yangshuo is a beautiful town with endless things to do and many interesting people to meet. She enjoys teaching at Owen College because of its great staff, motivated students and breathtaking surroundings.
